Looks like it’s begging for food. How are you feeding them? The slightly muted colors will go away with feeding too. It’s amazing how quick they bounce back when they eat like pigs. Try feeding 2-3 times a week with good meaty food for a month and see how they look I bet it helps. If I slack on weekly feeding they start to mute quickly. Mine are always wanting food and I don’t think you can over feed Acan, at least mine would eat every day if they had there way
The crazy thing is that it’s already back to normal? I don’t know why it does that sometimesLooks like it’s begging for food. How are you feeding them? Like fish guy said it was prob “having a moment”. Now that’s it’s all out put something back in!! Trust me it’s night and day how they look once well fed. Acan are one of the only corals you can’t really over feed as they process the food so quickly. Unlike my Scoly that takes a week to digest and over feeding results in food rotting in its stomach. Obviously don’t compromise your water quality but I can’t recommend enough on feeding. I mix a little LRS frozen with some reef roids and spot feed. Horrible picture angle but mine look goodThe crazy thing is that it’s already back to normal? I don’t know why it does that sometimes
Thank’s for the advise! I usually mix some frozen food like Artemia with some gold pods. The corals really love it and eat wellLike fish guy said it was prob “having a moment”. the only bad thing is that my zebrasoma always tries to eat the food in the corals, so I have to use a cover for the coral
Yea I did that. The tang and wrasses would hammer the acans and Scoly trying to get food out of their mouth. I wait and do it at night now. They don’t come out when they are sleeping and I don’t ever have to cover or stand guard with the turkey baster. Plus they get all night to digest.Thank’s for the advise!
