So I’ve had this frag for about 2 months now and he has been doing great growth is good and great neon color. About a week ago he got knocked off a rock and fell into the sand bed and I reglued him in about the same spot but he has like kinda has a pale middle with the other parts looking good. I just thought it was because he was was in the sand bed and he just needed to color back up but it’s been about a week and hasn’t gotten any worse or better

How long was it in the sand bed, upside down? Could it have fallen on another coral or close to another on the sand bed?

It happened during the night and I was late for a school that day and didn’t check the tank and found it about 3 and yes it was upside down and not too close to any coral I think could sting it. Also a little bit I tryed to give it a little bit more even light so I turned it about 20 degrees more then it was

Honestly, I'd do an ICP test either with Triton or ATI. There are so many elements that we dont test, one of them could be severely off and causing the problem. Test your tank and compare with LFS and see how far off you guys are, or if they get any significant readings. Corals that just all of a sudden close up for a long period of time without you making significant changes is not good. Should be a stable system.

It is common that when you touch or handle some corals that they will lose some color and or not have any polyp extension for days, especially where handled. Laying on the sand bed may have also upset it as well.

Takes time for them to readjust after all this. Should be fine.
