What’s going on with my bta?

When I got him he was full and looked great, now after about 2 months he is barely open. Most of the time he is 3/4 if not fully withdrew. Params are all good but my nitrates are riding around 10-15. I have a prime hd that is ~10” off the water and he is about 3/4 of the way down my 20g tank.

I hope we find out. Mines doing the same thing. I feed it and it inflates a little bit, but not like it should
