What’s going on with this torch!!???

Just noticed the stalk of my torch looking like this. Idk what’s going on it’s been looking good with full polyp extension and good color. As of now I have 4 other torches that look fine, but I took this one out and it’s in a bucket with iodine coral dip.
Edit. I did catch a emerald picking at it when I noticed how the skeleton looked.

Post this in the LPS forum. While some SPS keepers have some LPS too, many have banned them from their tanks.

I circled possible problems for you.
Alk at 9 dkh with po4 at 0.01
Phosphate that low is a problem in itself and add a higher alk will compound the problem.
Temp of 75 for torches is pushing the lower limit. Is there a reason to drive it so low?

I probably should get a heater. I live in Florida and I run my ac at about 73 so that could be it. And you think Alk is too high? And I’ve been trying to get my phosphates up a bit.

I think your alk is to high for where your nutrients are.
Many people run tanks at 9dkh. But at po4 0.01, I think your coral are hungry.
Have you tried reef roids? High in phosphate.

FWIW - I keep all of my corals and fish at 74 with absolutely no issues.
