What’s happened here?

Very strange thing happened. My neon goby was fine one minute 5 mins later he was struggling on the sand. I’m not sure if he cut himself somehow or disease?? Any ideas?

From what I can tell in the picture it looks like to be a bacterial infection and rectal prolapse (if thats not a rock/sand). How long did you have him? Was he QT'd and any other tank mates?

Thanks for the response. I had him 2 weeks, he wasn’t qt as I didn’t have the setup but have since started in setting one up. He has a few tank mates, 2 clowns and royal gramma. Should I qt them all and what sort of treatment am I looking at?
