What’s in your sump?

My sump is full... maybe. It’s a vertex somatic 60 sump designed to goin the cabinet of a 60 cube. It came with a Somatic 60s skimmer. I have replaced (temporarily?) the Vertex skimmer with a small Reef Octopus skimmer. I also have a filter sock/holder, apex probes, dosing tubes, a live bearer breeder box to serve as a makeshift refugium, a refugium light and hanging outside the sump, a CO2 scrubber. On the inside of the stand is a rack for hanging wrapped cords and an additional power strip. On the outside side panel of the stand is an Apex and energy bar. It’s pretty packed and because of the lack of space, hard to organize. The doser and chemical container are in the stand in an adjacent aquarium along with my ATO reservoir. The nightmare that is my sump.....

In mine: Return lines and Sera Siporax in chamber 1. Phos Reactor, Carbon, skimmer, a few bits of spare rock and heaters in 2. Return pump in 3. Plenty of room for other stuff!

I dont use a sump. I use a hob with a polishing pad to just keep the water free of debris.. and i use a homemade canister packed with denitrate from seachem and thats it for filtration.. works just fine

20 gallon high.

first section =heater and some cheato
second section = ASM skimmer, some rock, bag of carbon
third section = return pump, float switch for ATO, some frag sized rock.

I have a shelf above for a 1 gallon kalk dripper.

Sorry but I'm a proponent of keeping things simple and natural so I don't have anything fancy in my sump. I just have two 30 gal sump connect together where one hold macroalgae and the other one have seagrass. I have a simple Magus protein skimmer for back up but I don't always turn it on cause I feed my tank with phytoplankton. I also have some Seachem matrix and biomedia plates and live rocks.

50 gallon with 1 large section for live rock in half the other half is DSB with macro floating. 2nd section is Jaebo return pump. Setup is still new so I will have to at least add dosing containers and possibly carbon reactor but both will be outside sump.

35 gallons, first chamber is chaeto, caleurpa, and other macro algaes, second chamber was skimmer now turning into a Mangrove garden, third is return pump and carbon reactor.

I'm like you.... a lot of stuff. Trigger Cube 20. Single Sock, then a skimmer, a pump for GFO and carbon, the another one for my UV, then it dumps into cheato with an H80 then some biobricks, baffle sponges the a return. I have extra rocks and snails and hermits too. Another reason for a tank upgrade, so I can start with all this stuff and place it neatly not crammed here and there. I can't see anything when I'm in there looking for something, even if I could, I can't reach it.
