What’s on my Blasto?

Something has been growing on my Blasto. It almost looks like bubble algae. I took the picture when the lights were out using my camera flash. Should I try to remove it?

If it’s able to be siphoned out I would try but pinch the siphon tube and don’t get to close don’t want to damage tissue.

Yup bubble algae. It's a small frag, pull the piece and use some tweezers to pull them off.

Operation bubble algae removal was a success. The blasto seems no worse for the wear. I was really surprised how solid the algae was. I expected slimy but it was almost solid. I popped it after removing.
