What’s on my fish ??

Hi guys!!

Bought a mimic tang a few weeks ago. He got picked on a little the first few days which left like two little wounds. He’s eating and doing great but i noticed the spots have spread? So I’m not sure if they were wounds to begin with. What could this be ??

With the torn fins, I would say this is physical damage. Were the fighting fish isolated? If not, the issue may be continuing. If the fish have been isolated and the lesions continue to spread, then the most likely culprit is a secondary bacterial infection. The treatment for that would be a gram negative broad spectrum antibiotic in a treatment tank - like Neoplex
