What’s on my sandbed?

I’m currently having to break down my display tank and essentially turning it into a hospital tank so I can catch my goby and effectivly treat him. I’m not sure if he does have ich/velvet but the few other fish I had did and two passed away. I’m upgrading to a larger tank when I move for college so that’s why I’m okay with essentially turning my tank into a HT until then. I removed all of my dry rock and found dark/clear splotches on my sandbed. Is this ich cysts? I’ve never seen this until now and I’m not sure if it’s just dark sand or not and am worrying for no reason. Thanks!
