but what’s the move here?
Parameters are good, and the tank is about 7 weeks old

I added an astrea snail the other day, the girl at the LFS said only 1 due to the size, 5 gallons.

You'll probably want at least 2 snails (consider a trochus for the glass). There's more than enough to keep them fed from what I can see.

Should I scrape the rocks too, or just the glass?
I knew the uglies were a thing, but this is my first tank, so it definitely surprised me when it exploded. I did a water change Sunday, and none of it was there and bam that photo was taken today lol

Diatoms. Just let it take its course on the rocks. Add a few more snails as @blaxsun suggested, and get ready for the next wave of algae

Looks great! You’re on your way! Grab another snail or 2. I like ceriths, trochus and astreas. Possibly a hermit crab for the rock

One suggestion…I would make the gaps between the rocks and the glass a lil wider so you can scrape between easily, and if you want, epoxy ur rocks together so they don’t fall against the glass….I didn’t do either in my nano and regretted not doing it until later when rocks were full of coral and I couldn’t handle not getting my perfect stack back together everyone I knocked em over….
Looking great so far though, keep up the good work!
