It only has a 3/4” plug that is removable at the top. Thought if I cut the top out I could attach a thicker piece of acrylic and tap it to build a lid that I could fit my in and out hoses to. That way the lid could be removed in order to thin out my cheato. Just didn’t want to cut up something if it was valuable in its original form. You could use it as a cheato reactor.
Looks like kalkwasser reactor
It has been in storage for a few years along with the tank and a couple other things I received. It has a sticker on it from an old LFS locates in St. Louis MO. Might look them up just for fun.Airline is all yellowed .... so either really old or has seen ozone.

I can see a 314 area code which is what lead me to believe it’s around St Louis. If it was too long ago I guess it could be a shop down here in the Bootheel.Picture of the sticker please, I'm from the saint Louis area.
I did some research and it was a shop in Cape Girardeau owned by the guy who built the tank that was given to me. Sadly the man passed away a few years ago and the tank I received was the one he built custom with stand for his mother. It was before the area codes split and we ended up with 573.Doesn't ring a bell to me. 314 is St.louis. Might have been before I started keeping reefs in 1993. I was pretty up on saltwater shops by then in the area.

But now I won’t feel as bad transforming it into a cheato reactor. Only question now is, could I get by with a 2 inch opening to remove excess cheato?Interesting but a tad creepy.
