What’s this stuff on acro tip

Hi all,
This bonsai acro I got recently has gotten this white string coming out of some polyps. Feeder tentacles? Only on this frag and one more. Looks like it’s coming out of the skin on the tip.

Could be a filament for feeding or from stress. The frag looks good but maybe a little pale. Could be because it’s new and still acclimating. I wouldn’t worry as long as the frag looks good. Also the coral doesn’t look like a bonsai, are the polyps bright green? The axial coralites look like another species. It it’s still small, update us on how it’s doing when it’s growing some.

Now that u mention it ur right it’s a little too narrow for bonsai. The polyps are indeed bright green and extension is great. Pale as I only Recently got it so it’s acclimating to the lighting Rn. Hopefully it’s just from feeding. One question though, could stress like this be from too much flow? As I notice a lot of my smaller frags have this string thingy but bigger colonies don’t. I do feed reef energy ab+ everyday though.

Not from flow unless it’s being hammered constantly right in front of a powerhead but normally that just starts with peeling flesh and you won’t get time to see filaments. I guess an acro could show them in too much flow but normally they are because of a stress reaction or because coral food is fed or the tank is cleaned which some thinks a feeding response and some thing because it’s being irritated. No one really knows. Some acros also get one long strand which is part of the polyp when they are really happy and if it’s that it’s defiantly nothing to worry about.
