It’s been on my rock since the tank has been running and I’ve never posted to see what it was but it’s been growing recently, kinda looks like a mushroom?
i gave it reef roids the other day to see if it had a feeding response, nothing really happened but you could see it was like sucking it up

It does look like a tiny mushroom or tiny rock flower anemone. It may not show a typical feeding response when that small? Neat little hitchhiker! How long have you had it?

It was in my old tank that went bad quick, I don’t know how it survived nothing else did (was my first tank I clearly didn’t research enough) but since the rock has been in this tank it has grown, it was in the old tank about 6 months and about 4 months in the tank it’s in now

There were no mushrooms in the old tank just a few zoas/palys and Kenya trees
Just googled rock flower anemones and it does look really similar, how big do they get? I’ve seen them before on websites but never as small as what’s on my rock?

Rock nems are invisible to the naked eye when they are first “born”/released from the mama. No florescence either. Over the period of a month or so they grow to about the size of a pencil eraser and get their colors. I’ve had them in all life stages, biggest being able 5” across. My favorite things in my tank by far lol cool find

Is it good to feed them reef roids or something else?
kind of looks the the one with purple mouth and green ring at the top

When they’re tiny they don’t need fed. Just keep them under good lighting.
When they get to about 1.5-2” across, if it really is a nem, you’d be better off using small mysis shrimp or small meaty things. Reef roids are too small for them to grab onto and ingest.

It’s under reef led 90’s about middle of tank, I don’t know how to tell if it for sure an anemone until it gets bigger

Update, confirmed rock flower anemone, it has walked over to the other side of tank, hasn’t moved for 10 months and now it decided to move where it can’t be seen like usual with anemones always where you don’t want them
