Hi, Just bought a new coral- what are that red thing with white spots next to the stomatella?? not moving but wondering what it is?

hmm not that, it looks like a red mushroom with white spots. cant get a better picture im afraid :/Hard to tell from the photos but it could be a colony of small colonial tunicates. Does it look like this? Pycnoclavella diminuta![]()
cant see any holesAt first I thought it was a damaged Discosoma mushroom but it appears to be encrusting the rock. Do you see tiny holes in it?

haha who knowsSome tunicates grow in more of an encrusting mat form. I see you're in Australia so there's numerous possibilities in your waters. It could be something unknown to the hobby.
