My hammer coral isn’t fully opening for the last two days I did a water change yesterday to see if it would help but it didn’t does anyone know why

It is something in the water. It is not happy. How about other animals in the tank?

what are your current water parameters?
Your temp, salinity, salinity….
We won’t be able to tell unless we get accurate information.
It is not happy due to your “water” and other parameters. Sorry if I seem unhelpful.

I have 2 clowns pulsing Xenia zoas a frogspawn a Duncan and a bubble tip anemone and they all look really good it’s just the hammer that I’m having problems with

Yes, if you can give us the following info it will really help diagnose the problem:
Salinity
alkalinity
Nitrates
phosphates
magnesium
calcium

assuming your nitrites and ammonia are 0

How long have you have the hammer? It looks like the mounting is brand new. Days old from the white epoxy.
It it is brand new it may just acclimation to the new condition.
Frog spawn and branching hammer should tolerate about the same condition. Look into differences of the two corals
How long in the tank
Light intensity
Current differences
Disease

Can you show us pictures of other corals and of the full tank?
What kind of light and what do you use for current

The large amount of the (so call reef safe) two part adhesive is toxic to the corals but I expect all the corals affected not just the hammer.

Salinity: 1.030
Alkalinity: 7.0
Magnesium: 1470
Calcium: 300
Nitrate:0

With no information and history, all would just be a guess.

We can help only when you help us.
Salinity: 1.030
Alkalinity: 7.0
Magnesium: 1470
Calcium: 300
Nitrate:0

salinity or specific gravity?
Specific gravity should be around 1.025 gm/ml while salinity should be 35 ppt? Which is it?

Your SG is a little high, I would slowly decrease it slowly by remove tank water and replaced it with RO water. Change it to 1.026 over 3-7 days or so should be fine.

Ok thank you

I would continue to do water change. The Hammer and Frogspawn seem to be in the same general condition. 10-25% every week or two until the tank settle. make sure salinity match and temperature fairly well match. I routinely use microwave to heat up water to get it within a few degrees before change the water.
