What’s wrong with my Blenny?

Have had my Midas Blenny about 18 months now and he is acting normal. We noticed a spot on his left side which was small and looked like a freckle. Over time the spot has gotten bigger. But still no issues with the fish. About three months ago we moved and when we moved we transferred to a bigger tank. Haven’t noticed any issues but the spot on the Blenny has now turned almost white and is a raised bump. It also looks as if a top layer is missing (like if you or I had a scab and the scab came off). He’s still eaten no and acting as normal as always but the spot is causing concern....

I often wonder what sorts of subcutaneous parasitic organisms are coming from the ocean with our fishes . . .

This doesn't look like one of "the usual suspects", though it could certainly open a pathway for bacteria to invade. Perhaps @melypr1985 or @Humblefish will have seen its like before.

So very odd but today he still had the bump almost all day, but I just went and looked at the Tank and the bump has fallen out, there is now a hole in the fish. And I noticed a new freckle starting on the other side of him. His poop isn’t solid brown it is looking almost like the food he eats. Like he hasn’t digested it. I’m going to get some new photos of the blenny

I think you should be feeding him metroplex + focus in his food. Is the poop white or very light in color? A little stringy?

Interestingly, this same exact thing happened to my Midas blenny. It looked like a grain of sand was inching its way out of his side. Then, one day it was gone and the wound healed up with good feeding.

Okay I’ll try that. And it is stringy but has chunks. It’s light like the color of the frozen shrimp food. Pink chunks and white strings... (Sorry I don’t sound like I know much, it’s my husbands tank, but he isn’t tech savvy so I’m the one asking the questions)

Thanks ok! It sounds exactly like he has intestinal worms. Start soaking his food with metroplex and use Focus to bind it. 1:1 ratio is fine. You'll want to feed that every day for 10 days straight and keep watching the poop. When it turns brown and looks normal again, then he should be good to go. If it turns brown before the ten days is up, continue the meds until day 10

Been doing the metroplex and focus, seems to be making the hole heal pretty quick. However he has two new freckle spots. And totally off topic but now my sapphire damsel has a blurry/milky and swolen eye.
