What’s wrong with my foxface tail?

I just noticed this on my foxface about two weeks ago, still eating lots and swimming around picking algae. No change in behaviour just not sure what it could be, soaking food in selcon every few days to try and get it to grow back.

Royal gramma, pin tail fairy wrasse and two clowns. Been with the clowns since April and no issues. Added the pin tail fairy and gramma around Christmas time

Clowns can definitely do that to a fin.

I wouldn’t say either, if anything maybe a tiny bit better but barley noticeable.

Be sure to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t get infected, but for now I’d just monitor.

How would I know if it got infected?

Change in behavior, redness or fuzzy whiteness around the area, or rapid deterioration of the fin would all be signs of infection.
Best way to preemptively avoid infection is good water quality, good food, and minimal stress.

How long would you say it should take to get back to normal? I’m not too sure how fast fins grow back

Depends on species and the conditions they are kept in, but generally it takes a few weeks.
