What’s Wrong With My Zebra Dartfish?

Hello, today I noticed a big gash like mark on one of my Zebra Dartfish. I have 5 total and have had them for about 6 months. Could this one be getting picked on? Or is this some sort of disease?

It will not hurt - Some injuries heal on there own

I recently had to dismember my hospital tank but I can now set another one up. Would it be ok to put the fish in there even if the tank hasn’t cycled yet?

Im not sure what the word dismember means - but - if you mean you had to take it down - and reset - yes. Just get an ammonia alert badge - and monitor symptoms.

BUT - be very careful - you can add beneficial bacteria (Fritz 9000, etc). Do not wait for a problem - perhaps add something sooner than later
