The Halloween hermit is so underrated. I've been watching it eat GHA, cyano, other weird detritus, snail poop, and whatever! The snails and urchin eat more algae, but the hermit is just a all-round great cleaner.

I've always balked at paying like $15 for a single hermit when the blue legs are like $0.99 each or less.

Harlequin shrimp are just so beautiful. I wish I could find a way to keep them without breaking bank on chocolate chip starfish.

Oh and I'm afraid they'll eat a tuxedo urchin I've become rather fond of, to the point where I won't take it out no matter how many frags it picks up

Dude that’s why I don’t like harlequin shrimp, cause they eat starfish, and I really don’t like harlequin shrimp, cause I used to have a chocolate chip starfish.

As for mobile inverts: My hermits (Clibanarius Rutilus). They don’t get large and have a really goofy way of running about

As for coral: Nothing beats my hitchhiker green Porites (also in the picture behind the hermit). Funny how I’ve spent alot of acros, montis and yet nothing amazes me like my Porites which came on a live rock a year ago.

That species of hermit prefers Nerite shells..but that was the closest I could get for it. Although its a FW nerite shell.

Mine survived hypersalinity at 1.035g (a result of me being unable to figure out for weeks that I bought a refractometer for the WRONG LIQUID), so I'm partial to it. Plus, they only cost a few bucks more (@ $10 CAD) than any other hermit up here, so why not?
