What a difference new test kits makes!!!!

So I have an older Red Sea Marine Lab Test kit that I use for general testing (not Alk, Ca Or MG). I've been testing my Nitrates & Phosphates as I add fish trying to get my nutrients up.... and they keep testing 0. So I feed more, etc (haven't dosed anything yet). The tests are starting to run low so I ordered some new Salifert kits.

WOW!!!! Tested my NO3 & PO4 today!!!! NO3 - 50 & PO4 0.5!!! The whole time the older red sea test was at 0 for both. Now it expires later this year, but it makes me wonder how long it has been out of whack.

Beware of old test kits!

Or maybe beware of new ones.

You can't know which (if either) is accurate from that result.
