What a genius design, way to go ecotech!

So I heard this noise and sure enough it’s the second time a trochus snail crawled near the fan and it was hitting it. I had to turn it off and now he went inside of the fan because it’s wide open an elephant that can go in.

pretty sure that I am not the only one. Nero was killing fish and died on me so I didn’t have to deal with it. Now picked up a mp40 and this. what the heck!!!!!!!

You might want to look at the 3D printed nem guards that are out there. They keep things out of the inside and dont impede the flow

Seen those and thanks! But I just want to point this out as I am frustrated how stupid the design was.

Yeah, and the cage is too wide open for small fish and shrimp. Had to add covers to keep them from getting killed which added to the cost of a ridiculously priced pomp..

Isn’t this their design flaw? Aren’t they suppose to send out free guards? Nope! And the worse part was that I wrote emails to corporate and and reviews on their assistant via emails with absolutely no responses.

so whoever’s on the edge on getting their products, here’s mine honest experience.

I have used the foam screens in the past, but they gunk up quickly and took them off

apart from that they do move a whole ton of water with great control and usually very quiet

I started this silly hobby years ago, I purchased the MP40 when they first came out. I agree they were noisy as heck, I recently had the chance to up grade to their new "quiet" model. I can appreciate how much quieter they are compared to the previous model.
NOT being a wise guy here ( are you running the newer model or still using the older ones )
If you knew the Jebao can move a ton of water and it's cheaper, why didn't you go with that ?
