What a gift

Was given this by someone who lives a few doors away from me ,the other day he asked why I kept coming home with big drums of water ....I buy mine
So I told him about my tank and that I have to water change and top up with ro
About an hour later he's knocking at my door with that in the pic ..........what a guy he is
Says its not been used for awhile and that I should give it a good clean and change the filters I think he said Anyway I know nothing about them so any info would be great

I hope the membrane was kept wet, if not it will need to be replaced as well. When they dry out their no good anymore. Be sure to read your TDS coming out of it

why is that if you dont mind me asking/ being lazy how come it has to stay wet?
