hey guys I'm just getting started and I'm cycling my new tank now it's 100 gallons and the rock that I'm using was dry I'm wondering if it's okay to go ahead and introduce live foods like pods and Brian shrimp while the tank is going through the nitrogen cycle any comments

I would say no as the cycle will kill anything sensitive to high ammonia levels. This would include the crustaceans like pods and brine shrimp. It would be best to wait until the cycle is over to add anything to the tank. Then once the cycle is done, add things very slowly.

Remember the big saying "nothing good comes fast in this hobby" and think about it every time you want to make an impulse buy. I had to do that when I started as things just look so cool and I wanted to get some fish. However I knew that rushing would lead to bad endings so I was able to hold back on most things.

Patience is a nightmare but he's right. Without it everything falls apart.
