I am wondering what additives you guys like to use in your reef tanks. Especially additives targeted toward coloring up SPS. I am getting pretty decent colors on all my corals but thinking I could get better and some of my corals like some zoas are kinda struggling I am thinking due to lack of nutrients. When I say additives I mean anything outside of the usual 2 part and magnesium dosing that are pretty much always required. Specifically interested in thoughts on Aquavitro fuel. Fire away guys, thanks.

Red sea colors program, acro power, fuel and phytoplankton.

I get good colors and can tell a difference when I miss a dose. I'd post pics but my phone and R2R don't see eye to eye, and it seems I'm in a perpetual state if construction these days lol.

We've been using Polyp Lab colors amino acids, the concentrated drops.
It was used in our old tank & after a few weeks we did notice a difference in the SPS colours & even the Chalice seemed brighter. The biggest "tell" for us was when others noticed the difference. We've just started using it again in the new tank (3 doses) so a bit early to tell.

I dose only limewater, iron, and silicate. But I do not presently keep any SPS.

I'm not really convinced that colors relate to most additives, unless the inorganic nutrients are very low and the corals need supplemental organic foods (such as amino acids). That combination ( lower inorganic nutrients such as nitrate and phosphate, keeping zooxanthellae levels on the low side) coupled with appropriate organic feeding seems to be a common method for color success. Aquavitro fuel would fall into that category of organic foods.

FWIW, lighting has a big impact on color.

Great thread, it would even more awesome if hobbyist will backup their findings with pics.

I'm been using Coral Vitalizer from Zeovit for about 3 wks ,sorry I don`t have a before and after pic, but I am very happy with the difference it has made in my corals growth and coloration.

Lets play......
I have been using KZ products as the full Monty of ZEO.
As many other products and not just for a blue Monday.
Had all good results but I wonder if the results were just because the use of the products or being consistent in maintaining my system.
Now my system is clean of products and if I notice a drop on No3 or Po4 I just feed more.

One problem with trying to understand when people use a whole program of different additives is which (if any) of the products are actually causing changes in coral colors. :)
