What Algae is this? Stumped

I’m stumped here. Can anyone identify? It’s red and tube like.

I think it may be Halymenia sp (seaweed).

Red algae? Red Seaweed?

Hi everyone! We are some what new to this amazing hobby! I have been trying to research this red algae or seaweed on our live rock, however, cannot seem to find anything specific? Can someone please help us identify it? It is growing like crazy and if it isn’t good I would like to remove it...

Almost looks like red Neomeris annulata, if there is such a thing...

Cut the frag plug or rock with bonecutters and glue the mushroom to a new plug? Toss the algae in the trash?
