Thats the reason, it’s best to have tanks a little dirty. Dont want to hit rock bottom on nitrate and phos because Dinos will appear when their nothing to out compete it

Strong possibility it’s Dino’s I had them with bubbles as well. I would definitely raise PO4 it being at 0 is what caused them most likely.

I had dinos as well. I did the Dr. Tims dino program which got rid of most of it. After this, I raised PO4 and changed filter floss out when the lights go out and in the morning. I had the type that released at night. This makes sure the socks can handle all of the dinos coming through and start with a fresh one for the day. Took me a few weeks to clear it up.
