What algea?

Hello,

Since a few days i have these algea in my aquarium. Its on my Stones and my powerfilter.

They seems transparant (and white) and are 0,5cm long

Do you know what kind of algea this are?

seems to be a hair algae

I have the same stuff all over my rocks and bare bottom tank. Not sure exactly what it is but it is not hair algae. At least, it isnt the usual type. I have dealt with that before. This short fuzzy brown/tan stuff is new to me.

Do you dose carbon by any chance? What’s the texture when you touch it like?

I don't know for sure but I always thought of this as a bacterial bloom rather than algae. I still can see something like this in crevices. Hopefully some of the guys can confirm or correct.

Hi everyone,

Yes i dose de EZ-Carbon i am now on Day 1 so the minimum...
the texture is like slime, slippery. but hard to remove, with a toothbrush it is almost not possible to remove
