Hi all,

I'm getting pumped about finally owning some tangs! Having said that, they're pigs and I'd like to vary their diet. So I was wondering... what all are you guys growing to feed your tangs? I'm thinking along the lines of macro in your refugium. Most people will know that, but just in case... :)

I've been researching the exact same thing Brandon. I've been thinking of trying red gracilaria in my fuge. I'm gonna follow along because I'm wanting to mix up their diet a little too and was planning to ask the same question here.

The yellow and the Sailfin (no longer have) would pretty much eat anything I would drop in the tank, they're both from the zebrasoma family, which may or may not have anything to do with their appetite. Meanwhile the Powder blue I have now won't eat any of the pellets or frozen I feed but is constantly picking at the rocks and will take nori off of a clip.

Tangs are herbivores so I would start there. While they will eat meaty items its pretty much just fluff as far as nutritional value.
Nori,frozen/flake foods for herbivores animals.
