What am I looking at?

I have two things growing on what I believe is a dead Darth Maul Favite plug. They aren't animal, so I figured they go here. Pictures will be at the bottom.

Back story: two month old tank and I battled dinos a few weeks ago, zoas all closed up and some even went clear on the top of the closed polyp. I thought I lost them. Alas, they are open now a few weeks later. And I'm having a bit of an algae bloom, but that's just where I've been told I'm at in the cycle. This little guy, I believe, didn't make it, but I wanted to give it a fighting chance JUST IN CASE. I noticed this thing growing on it, and just wasn't sure what it was. When I took it out to take a picture to post here, I noticed tiny leaves underneath the plug. Please advise, cause I'm completely lost.

So that green algae, I don't believe is hair algae. It hasn't just kinda showed up over night and hasn't grown since. Here's a picture of the (assumed) dictyota that I pulled off of the plug.

Bonus points if you can tell me if I just need to throw the whole plug out
