so I've had this guy for a while and the bigger it gets the more I doubt the id. It was sold as a millepora that the shop owner didn't frag often. I doubted it but it's pretty. It's getting bigger and it's really colored up but the growth pattern isn't anything I recognize. Whatcha think?

@troylee really? I guess i've just never seen one grow like this before. Looking at the rough mille the color is right but even the mama didn't grow like that. It was all kind of thinner branches, not the usually stocky ones I've seen.
 
Trying to ID a 1" frag is very difficult, even when they grow out it's still only an educated guess. I think it needs more time before a species could be assigned to it. I'd remove it from the plastic plug, just my personal preference. GL
 
I agree with the above also... Fwiw your seeing different structures than the original because of different flow... I have placed the same acro in several different places and depending on how high the flow is determines how thick the branches form in my exp. Low flow you get long skinny branches that are fragile and in super high flow I have seen short fat branches...
