I was reading on another web site where a guy made some homemade food and he would feed at 2am under moon lights with the return off and let it sit until morning. He was getting awesome results. Just wondering how other people feed and what kind of results you get. I don't actually have a normal schedule on coral feeding but I want to start one.

When I had corals in my tank, I never fed my zoas anything at all except for clean water and artificial sunshine and I was able to grow zoas faster than anybody I know.

I have used very small types of food for filter filters and some various coral food mixes and shot some on my zoas from time to time. I used to do it heavily when I first started and noticed my bambam frag took off and went from about 20 polyps to several hundred in 6months to a years time, but feeding heavily and lack of filtration I was getting algae blooms like crazy, so I back off and they seem to have slowed down but my zoas still grow and color up nicely. I still will shoot some food to them from time to time, but if I do it is once a week or so.

I don't target feed mine, but I'm sure they get food when I feed my fish.

I don't feed mine anything. My palys seem to catch food and eat it when I feed the fish but if food hits the zoas they close up and don't take in the food. They grow just fine.
