Does anyone know what all the thinks attached to the sump (I think it was used as a refugium). Theres a couple closed bulkheads and some metal rods the one rod is connected to a black box that says fluid control. I have attached pictures. 
What are all the things on this Sump?

picture 1 is a solenoid
Picture 2 has 2 bulkheads (white) and 1 thats all rusted. A sensor of some kind (white with wires).
Metal tubes were to direct water flow?
Prob some sort of water top off system

You could use it, however the holes need to be plugged. They make threaded plugs and caps. I would try to replace the rusted bulkhead or whatever that is with a new one.. The solenoid can be removed. Since it is that high I doubt you will ever have the water level that high.Would you say still usable as just a sump and if I can figure out the auto top off.
Or no because of the rust?
If it was really me I would replace all those old bulkheads with new ones so I would not have to chance have any leaks. Use a top off like a tunze 3155
