I'm wondering what par values are needed for a sumo to grow macro algae rapidly.

A screw in power compact light with reflector from home depot lol get the one equivalent to 100w it'll grow it quick!

+1 for that exept I got mine at Menards. Not a big Home depot fan. lol I believe it says 6500 or 6700k something like that

I've used a 15w 6500k bulb (I think it was equivelent to 75w)from homedepot with a clip-on reflector and that worked great for years. I now use 2 BoostLED PAR30 bulbs....just because I had them sitting around, you don't need anything crazy expensive. I grow cheato and halimeda

Any type of 6500k or better lighting will grow your macro. You can even buy a clip on light at home depot sort of like a reptile light or something and they even have plant bulbs there. A clamp light fixture and bulb from home depot will probably cost you around $15-$20.
