My new led's come in tomorrow and I'm curious to see how everyone else runs theirs. Looking to see how long of a ramp up and ramp down time frame people use. I know some people have really long ramp times so I'm curious. Also how long do people actually have their lights on a day? I run my current LEDs for about 10 hours a day now, 8 of those is both white and blue LEDs. Any input would be appreciated!

I've read that the photosynthesis process in coral's zoaxthellae only lasts 4-6 hours and then shuts down. Longer lighting periods don't help the coral, but don't hurt it either. So length isn't a big concern unless you get crazy like 6 on and 6 off twice a day.

I do an 8 hour sunrise with blue going up 10% per hour and whites start 3 hours later, one hour of midday at 80% and 40% then the reverse of sunrise for an 8 hour sunset with the last 3 being all blue. I've been doing this for over 3 months now and my corals are doing at least as good, if not better, than they were before.
