What are my clownfish doing??

Ive had these clowns for about2 weeks and they've now moved into this corner and she has dug out this little area and she keeps going on her side to fan away sand and will shake while she does it

Are they eating? Do they swim around at all out of curiosity or just stay in that corner? How is their breathing?

They don't call them clownfish for nothing lol. they do some odd things sometimes

You, sir, now have a pair of clown. The one "shaking" is actually the male, who is showing the female that he wants to put a ring on her. . As for the corner, these fish are weird. Mine will hang out but the return line and that's exactly where they sleep, upside down.

Do clowns lay eggs on clay pot? I used that when I was breeding discus.

I purchased 2 clowns that were in the same tank because they got along great. They were perfect in the aquarium for 6 months then, the bigger one turned female and kept putting the smaller male partner in the corner. I finally moved the male to my 525xl with a pair of Picasso clowns and he is happily leading them around.

The male will look like he is getting electrocuted showing her dominance over him, if it isn't that look of being electrocuted then it's the female and she's probably clearing out a nesting area for eggs fanning away all the sand. The male will help start helping soon hopefully, he'll keep the eggs clean too.
