What are my mushrooms doing?

These have been in my tank for about a month, have been looking great, gotten a lot bigger the last week. Added a little instant ocean marine conditioner, and a few minutes later this is happening? It's only these ones, the ones on the other side of the tank look normal.

I should also note I'm getting ready to do a water change, should I hold off?

My shrooms swell up and close like yours when I broadcast feed the tank. So I suspect they are responding to the conditioner. Is there a particular reason you are using this product

Thats weird. do the water change. I keep getting mixed results searching. it should be just bacteria.

Just discovered ich, doing a water change and just feed brine with garlic. Going to order some stuff tomorrow, but with work don't have time to set up another tank and remove all the fish. So just added a little, figured it couldn't hurt, but may have been wrong on that

I also have this weird stuff floating on the surface, looks red once in a cup. Maybe diatoms? Anyways trying to skim it off with the h2o change

they seem to be back to normal, wont add that to the tank again!
