What are my snails doing????

So, woke this morning. Pretty much all my snails are at the highest point on the rocks, standing as high as they can, spewing out what looks like sperm! Now, if this is spawning then great (I think) but if it’s them starting to die or being sick, which I doubt unless a mass suicide pact, then I need to act. Sexy getting involved which also suggests spawning (bad joke). Can see the water is cloudy a little with lots of tiny flecks carried on the current.
Once they’ve finished they move back down. Odd. To me anyways.
