What are some cheap, beautiful zoanthids

under $100
Whoa! Haha that was more than what I was thinking...

well these are real old but you can still find em, Fruit Loop zoas, they are cheap because they are sold in colonies usually and not per polyp. I love how their color is very solid and they look really good in daytime lighting or t5 type lighting. These were from pacific East aquaculture a long time ago:

I like radioactive dragon eyes, everlasting gobstoppers and rastas. Utter chaos too, but they grow painfully slowly, least for me.

They are all pretty cheap IMO. Razzamataz, Scrambled Egg, Rasta, Bloodsucker, and Blue Hornets in my tank. I don't think I spent over $40 for any of them. Most of them were between 8-10 polyps. I get about 2-3 polyps per month growth. The razz i bought a small colony for $60 maybe 50-60 polyps.

$100 per polyp or per colony?

if per polyp then Hallucination is my favorite.
If per colony then a combo of Rastas

In my area these are between $30-50 for few polyps- BBEB, Mandarin and Bambams.

give me some please!
My lfs once sold me a HUGE rock filled with super pretty zoanthids for only 100 bucks. I think the worker that sold us this was his first day on the job, lol. Now when I go to buy more zoe’s, their like 50$ for 4-6 heads:confused:

There are tons of beautiful zoas out there for a reasonable amount. Look on the livestock for sale here on Reef2Reef or locally from hobbyists. For a $100, I usually treat a first time buyer pretty well.......gotta keep em coming back!

Stay away from Pandoras, they grow super fast and will overtake any other zoas near them. You can’t go wrong with utter chaos, hornets, armor of gods....

We used to call them pink play of death. They grow like the plague and don’t look as nice as the photos.
