Hey everyone!

So i am some what new to salt water aquariums however I have kept fresh water forever. So i was wondering, is there lowlight corals like there is lowlight frehwater plants? If so can you please name a few or even one step further maybe post a picture or two of them? The reason for me asking this is i have a rather large arching rock that leaves quite a bit of shade over the rocks below. So i am trying to fill that area in my tank.

My tank is a 40 gallon breeder with 45lbs of live rock, 40lbs of live sand, 2 clown fish, 1 six line wrasse, 7 turbo snails, 4 scarlet hermit crabs, 1 sandsifter star fish, and a nice set up of sps, lps, and polyps growing already.

What lighting do you have now?

Discus mushrooms are good low light corals.

There are also nonphotosynthetic corals such as chili coral, sun coral, dendro, some gorgonians or carnation coral. I would do some research on these corals before adding them. Since they are nonphotosynthetic, they have different feeding needs (more rigorous) than a lot of the SPS or LPS.
