What are some good quality cheap tank brands?

the plastic support on my aqueon 55 gallon tank just broke so I'm needing and new tank quickly and i don't want to buy aqueon again because theres a lot of people having this same problem so I'm looking for an new tank for under 300 bucks. since I'm getting a new tank I might as well upgrade so a 75 gallon tank for that price would be nice.

I made a temporary clamp and im planning on draining it half way tomorrow so the tank is fine, now i have time to find an actual good tank to replace it with.

"Good" and "cheap" are not synonymous with each other...

Aqueon makes a decent tank….55g are outliers because of the dimensions; its the only one thats “Non drillable” as its sides are “safety glass” (name escape me)…
Anyway, due to being cheap, the glass is too thin for that length w/o bowing…(hence the center support)

I’d get their new (or old) 60g …which is really a 80’s re-boot

…I want to say Petsmart carries a different brand (TopFin) but I’m sure it has the same thickness …Maybe try Marineland, but again I think all 55’s are the same…

What about seapora tanks? I know nothing of them other than they seem to be priced on the high end of the retail tanks like top fin and aqueon.

planetaquariums.com I know you said Cheap, but I'd like to point out, you're putting hundreds, if not thousands of dollars worth of corals and fish into that Tank, why cheap out and buy something of low quality or workmanship?

PA is 2 guys, a Master Designer and a Master Builder from OCEANIC!! If you're anything like me you know of, and LOVE The Oceanic Brand, I have owned several, a 125g, a 180g, 90G bowfront and my Pride and JOY, 8foot 300g I have now.

If it was me, and I was looking at a 75 upgrade to a 55g, I'd probably take another step up into a 120g 4foot tank. Same footprint as the 75 basically but stepping into a 120g opens up options for TANG's you do not have in a 55g or a 75g.

Another option is to buy a 75g Aqueon. I have had several of these tanks, I have one set up for QT right now and you can buy them for about $120 if you watch for the Petco Sale. Easily the most affordable 75g option there is!!

DO NOT...I REPEAT DO NOT!! Buy a Red Sea unless you spend a few days researching Red Sea Fails.

Solid alternative, but I’ve never seen a 55g by them, mostly low boys and other odd dimensions (I had one)

Local reef club or facebook marketplace might have a nice tank for cheap..or marketplace on r2r and see of anyone lives close
