Good morning all.

I have an 83g mainly softy tank, now 8mo old. I'm looking to expand to some hardy LPS. I have one frogspawn right now that is doing well. What are some other tolerant LPS? Thx

Goniopora, alveopora, duncans, elegance...
Goniopora aren’t great beginner LPS as they can potentially sulk and die off for no reason.
Duncan’s and Elegance are great suggestions though! And Alveopora is great for people who want to start off in the Flower Pot Corals.
I’ll also add:
Leptoseris
Frogspawn
Caulastrea
Acans/Micros
Favia

I suppose. I haven't run into this (yet), but I guess I've been fortunate so far. The other suggestions are great too!
Interesting to hear, the only thing I hear when it comes to goniopora is about them sulking then later dying. I wonder if it’s possible to bring them back from the sulking state?

I just picked up a really neat goniopora yesterday - it's an encrusting goniopra. Really tiny polyps - looks like red velvet covering a rock. I do have one "sulking" (or at least less than impressed). Most likely because the creepy crawlies keep overturning it constantly. It's still hanging in there...

Gonis need fed in my experience. Nothing insane but some phyto in the water every now and again.

Sounds more like bernardopora?

Yes they can come back from sulking phase if you find out and fix what they were not liking.

For me, 2 nice Gonis died and thrid one had half of the frag dead (dead looking at the least), i found the issue - i was dozing all-for-reef manually morning and night. Likely the spoke was a problem, i switched to BRS 2-part dozer and the Gonis have been non-stop happy for last 2 weeks.
