Hi all!
As I wait for my article to get put back up here I wanted to start with a simple question.
What are the 3 basic requirements of a skimmer?
Lets see who needs help or can give the right answes :-)

1. Sized to fit your bioload.
2. Placed into the right depth.
3. Your spouse's approval to spend that much money on a piece of plastic.

1. Minimal Noise
2. Easy dialing
3. Effective water skimming

Oh dont make me give the answers!
Sorry but not close at all

So now tell me what are the 3 main functions to a skimmer :-)

I'll try again....but now leave number 4 in as well....obviously an oversight on your part.

1. Sized to fit your bioload.

3. Fit in your stand/sump.
4. Your spouse's approval to spend that much money on a piece of plastic.

So now tell me what are the 3 main functions to a skimmer :)
1. Air/Bubble Source (Venturi Pump or Airstone)
2. Body (Funnel/Column design to drive bubble direction and possible diffusers)
3. Collection (Collection Cup)

Oops, now I'm confused....just saw the "function" thing. So your question is, "What are the three main functions of a skimmer?" Let me scratch my head and think for a while....as my wife pulls me out the door to go to dinner.

I should have asked "the 3 main functions to a good skimmer"
