What are the best options for algae control in a small reef?

It’s been a very long time since I’ve had a tank that’s too small for a tang algae crew. What are your favorite options for algae control in a display that’s 20 gallons or less? I’m looking for options that eat algae that I can use while doing my best to prevent excessive algae growth from a husbandry perspective.
