What are the chances: candy basslet question

i have a carmabi and it is by far my favorite fish. Do you guys think I could add another? My reputable LFS has one and I want to get him. Obviously I'm sincerely concerned about mine and it getting along. I've seen places sell them in pairs which I know is them sticking 2 in a tank, seeing them get along, and calling them a pair. My tank is full of rock and a decent size do I am stuck with the issue that if they hate each other I'll never be able to get the one back out without dismembering my whole tank. I see YouTube videos with more than one in a tank. Anyone have any experience?

Yeah, they all hang out in the rocks. They are pretty cryptic. My daughter works there too, but they are very high priced. That being said, their livestock is second to none in my opinion.

My guy is very out and about. He comes right in the front of the tank during high lighting parts of the day.

They are asking a somewhat normalish price for it. I have the 15% off as well for doing some donation offer they had.

I was thinking of getting the gem tang at Elos. Just worried about the traditional tang aggression. I have a single purple now and would add the gem with a yellow at the same time if I did it

Yeah, that fish might not be 15% off. I think its NET which means no discount. Im there so much, I didnt even need to donate, they just give it to me. I wanted the small black tang they have, but because its NET, I decided against it.

If the tank is less than 4' I would recommend against adding a second to an established one. If it's bigger then it should be ok.

There will be aggression in the beginning, regardless of gender, but that sorts itself out in a couple of days. A mirror by the side of the tank can distract the aggressor. If the aggression gets too bad, be prepared to remove one. This can be difficult with Liopropoma species.

My tank is 5 ft with lots of rock and placed to go. The new one is slightly larger than my current one. I don't have a back up tank to put it tho if I need to try and remove. It's probably a better idea for sure to let all is well be but I'd love to have an interacting pair

Your other option would be to rehome yours and get an already bonded pr. LADD had a pr go up yesterday.

I don't think I could do that but I get it. They ones on DD must have sold already. Don't see them listed. Could you possibly provide a link if I'm doing something wrong
