So, I have a small Griessingeri goby and have been looking into a LPS/Inverts heavy tank as my 4’ tank can’t have many fleshy LPS, Softies or inverts (Dang you Copperband and wrasses). My question is, what coral/inverts do I avoid? And what inverts/coral can I own? I’m aware the Elegance corals will potentially eat fish, same with anemones.

Also, my other question is what’s a Fleshy LPS? I hear the term used a lot but never know what coral falls under it.

Some of the coral I quite like involves:
- Micromussa/Acanthistrea
- Burning ember/Jack O Lantern Leptoseris
- Favia/Favites/Goniastrea
- Goniopora/Alveopora
- Burning ember leptastrea
- Chalices
- Frogspawn/Octospawn/Hammers
- Willow Tree Leathers

My tank size is a 18”x15”x18” (Red Sea Max Nano). I’d like some of the flowing movement, aswell as some height that many SPS can grow and bring.

I've never known elegance corals to eat fish. Anemones I would be more suspect of but even still the fish has to be dead or dieing.
Meat corals like acanthos. Cynairias. Scolys.
Open brain coral like trachy and wellsi.
Fleshy lps is a new term for meat corals.
Hths you

Agreed - I had an elegance the size of my hand and there is no way that thing could eat a fish... unless maybe it was very tiny and dead and landed on it.
