Lights just come on in the DT? Foxes will change colors at night for camouflage. Become blotchy looking.

That's all I have at the moment. If the spots don't go away in a hour or two, post a better picture with lights on.

+1 to the above comments. Mine looks downright camoflaged when the lights first come on or when startled. The amount of the coloration will vary through its life a bit as conditions in the tank change and it ages.
