Looks like several types of diatoms.
just bought a bunch of trochiboys . What changed help just kind of annoyed I let my tank cycle for 6 months, stays clear. Some mysis and reef roids for my new corals , brown stringy fun. I assume the pizza slices are also diatoms? dinos seem to always be circles and not pizza

I love the pizza slices!

The diatoms came in with your livestock. Feeding the coral help grow the bacteria, creating the biofilm and home for diatoms, and then the diatoms settled, and started to grow. As other organisms join the biofilm, the diatoms will likely diminish.

I don’t recall anyone figuring out how to alter this. There is a notion that silicate causes diatoms. I doubt it is that simple. Diatoms certainly need silicate to grow but nitrate and phosphate also stimulate diatoms to grow.
