What are these? Eggs of some sort

Today seemingly overnight I noticed these on the back wall of my tank. At first I thought it was snail tracks but now I see it is raised off the glass. Siphon it out? Good or bad, anyone know?

Thanks. Do I need to control their population ? Mine seem to grow quick in number and size. Is too many of them a threat ?

Sounds like you have some fat and happy snails. I don't see any direct threat other than possibly outcompeting other snails, or if they begin to clean your tank too well and run out of food.

I personally wouldn't worry about having too many. They are great cleaners and their population is often regulated by an available food source. If they do begin to bother you or you're worried about them starving, just give/sell some to your LFS or a local hobbyist.
