Bubble algae will spread if any of the bubbles are popped. I have 2 Emerald Crabs that totally cleaned out my tank of them and keep it spotless. I would invest in one.

+1 to emerald crabs. Mine can't get all of it in the little cracks, but they keep it to where its almost not noticeable.

Bubble algae or not, imo emerald crabs are awesome and good to have:) I have had several, one at a time, and I have noticed that ones that are not shy at the LFS are the best workers. My experience is that if the LFS has to chase them out of the cracks and out from under rocks to catch them then the will be the same in the tank and spend too much time hiding.
