What are these? How do I get rid of them?

Today these showed up on my glass. The glass has always been full of pods and today was the first time I say these. Are they bad? If so how bad? What methods to get rid of them?

These normally go away on their own. Usually around for a month or 2 in new systems.

Just a small hydroid.

Okay so nothing crazy I have to do? I have a cleanup crew coming this week. Doubt the peppermint shrimp will eat but said some might. Thanks!

Np! Critters are my favorite part of reef keeping. Sometimes, you just don't know who the pests are.

Actually hydrozoas and can cling next to coral and sting as well as multiply. Fish out with net and discard

I've never had an issue with those ones. Even the digis were not an issue.

Medusa stage hydroid, I usually see these guys earlier on in new tanks. They can free swim and catch their prey, but usually dwindle in time. Did you use any “live sand” in your tank?

That’s where you usually see them. If you watch close enough, you’ll see them swim around, kinda cool.
